Community Invited to Help Shape the Future of Murrieta Schools

The Murrieta Valley Unified School District (MVUSD) invites students, parents, staff, and all community members to participate in upcoming Facilities Master Plan (FMP) Town Halls — an important opportunity to help shape the future of our schools and learning environments.

About the Facilities Master Plan

MVUSD has partnered with DLR Group, a nationally recognized educational planning firm, to develop a long-term Facilities Master Plan. This plan will serve as a roadmap for the District’s physical growth and facility improvements over the next 5 to 10 years. The Facilities Master Plan process is now underway and includes extensive data collection, site assessments, and community input. Upcoming capital projects will be identified, and additional recommendations from each Town Hall will be included in the final plan.

This plan will provide a fresh look at our schools and infrastructure, focusing on:

  • Enhancing the academic and student experience
  • Implementing safety and security improvements
  • Strengthening career, technical, and educational (CTE) spaces
  • Developing community-centered amenities that serve both students and residents

“Our schools are the heart of our community, and they are used every day from dusk to dawn by our students, local churches, local youth football organizations, non-profits and so many more!” said Dr. Ward Andrus, Superintendent of MVUSD. “We want this plan to reflect the voices of our families, staff, and community partners. Together, we can ensure our facilities continue to support the exceptional learning experiences our students deserve.”
